- 0:04 Good day. I'm Dr. Duncan Houston, and this is my fake living room.
- 0:12 This is the furry corduroy range. This is the rectangle with open front. So, you can see there's a dip at the front.
- 0:21 I like the beds that have a low front mainly for arthritic or older animals, or maybe even a little animal that doesn't like to jump. If they've got any issues with their legs, they can easily climb in.
- 0:31 Yes, this is a very soft bed. You know, if they do have bad legs and hips and arthritis, it is a little bit harder for them to get out of.
- 0:38 So, that's why I'd probably suggest to go to the orthopedic range—the Vet Orthopedic low entrance one. This one has a low entrance, but it doesn't have the memory foam in it. It's just the fluffy kind of filter floss material on the inside—that's what I like to call it.
- 0:53 But anyway, these beds come in small, small-medium, and large. They do come in white, this is a beige, pale pink, and then we've got gray and brown.
- 1:03 Let's go through these. So, you have the center bed or center pillow. This pillow is not washable. So, you can wipe this center pillow down, but you can't remove the inner fabric for that one.
- 1:15 Something I'll probably adjust in the future, but for this range at the moment, you can't wash this inner material.
- 1:23 And same with the outer material; this bed does not come with zippers. It's mainly because of this front dip.
- 1:29 The bolsters, I could put zippers on these sides, but this front bit is going to be difficult and it does make it more flimsy if I added in a removable bolster there. So, it didn't kind of hold its shape.
- 1:39 So, this bed is only wipeable—cleaning with wipes. This bed is not machine washable, or even hand wash.
- 1:46 I wouldn't hand wash it because it's going to be so difficult to dry, because the water's going to seep into that bolster filter floss material on the inside and it's going to be very difficult to dry out. So, your risk of mold and stuff.
- 1:59 So, if they've got any leg issues, it's easy to get in.
- 2:06 As I said, if they've got the money, I would go up to the low entrance Vet Orthopedic—the SNÖR range. You know, these are a premium range for most brands, but for our brand, this is actually our standard range, because me being a vet, I'm not going to sell rubbish anyway.

How it works
Why the low front, why the corduroy, and what it is not

A lower front to walk through: the bed for the dog that should not jump
Most small-dog beds are a box the dog hops into, and for most dogs that is fine. For a long-backed dog, an old dog or a puppy it is a jump they do not need, twenty times a day, onto a hard floor on the way out.
- A low front the dog steps overThis bed keeps three walls, so there is still a corner to back into and an edge to rest a chin on, and drops the fourth to a low front the dog steps over.
- The right dogIn the photographs the studio dog is a Dachshund, which is the right dog: long back, short legs, and a lifetime of being told not to jump off the couch.
- A cat that likes walls and hates a lidIt is also the bed for a cat that likes walls and hates a lid, and for a puppy in its first months, when a step is better than a leap.

Corduroy outside, fur inside, rubber dots underneath: the skin for a hard floor
The walls are a wide-wale corduroy, the Furry Corduroy Round Bed's fabric: it takes claws better than fur, brushes clean with a rubber glove, and holds its shape as a wall. Inside is the fur, a long plush the dog kneads and noses into before it drops.
- Rubber dots underneathUnderneath is the part that decides the room: a rubber-dot base, so the bed stays where you put it on tiles, floorboards and a plastic crate tray, and does not skate when an old dog puts its weight on the front edge.
- The corduroy family's job on a hard floorNone of the all-fur beds in the range lists a grip base, which is why this one is the corduroy family's job on a hard floor.
- Wipe it cleanWipe it clean with pet wipes: there are no zips, and it is not machine or hand washable.
- Four coloursFour colours: Pale pink, which is nearly cream, White, a light Grey and a Brown that is a light tan.

What it is not: orthopedic, a bed for a big dog, or a treatment
Three things to know before you buy.
- First, orthopedicFirst, there is no foam listed anywhere in this bed: the fill in the walls and the cushion is a soft fill. A dog with stiff hips, a dog after surgery or an old dog that struggles to rise belongs on the SNÜZ Vet Orthopedic Bed or the SNÖR Vet Orthopedic Bed, which have published two-layer memory foam; the SNÖR has a low entrance too.
- Second, sizeSecond, size: the biggest bed here is 70 x 60 cm outside; it is a small-dog bed, from a cat to about 12 kg, and a Beagle or a Cocker that sleeps curled is the top of it.
- Third, calmingThird, calming: three walls make a nervous dog feel safer, which is real, and it is not a treatment for a dog that panics.

Three sizing rules
-
Measure the dog curled up, nose to the base of the tail: under about 28 cm fits the XS, under about 35 cm the Small, under about 45 cm the Medium, each with room to turn round inside three walls. A dog that sleeps flat out on its side wants the Furry Corduroy Sleeping Mat instead, and a dog that sleeps in a tight ball is happier in the Furry Corduroy Round Bed.
-
Weight bands, as a guide: XS for cats and dogs to about 4 kg, Small for 4 to 8 kg, Medium for 8 to 12 kg or two toy dogs. These are a guide from the outer sizes with thick walls allowed for, not a published limit; one verified buyer's 3 kg Yorkie is in the Small. The Medium is the biggest size: a dog past 12 kg, or any dog with stiff hips, wants the SNÜZ Vet Orthopedic Bed.
-
The rubber-dot base means this is the bed for tiles, floorboards and a crate tray: the XS fits a 24 or 30 inch tray, the Small a 36, the Medium a 42; measure the tray first. On carpet it makes no difference and the all-fur Furry Curves Open Front Rectangle Bed is the same idea one size up.

Specifications
- Shape
- Sofa: three walls at one height and a lower front the dog steps over; a fur cushion in the well. The lower front is the design, not a defect
- Base fabric
- Rubber-dot non-slip base. The one bed in the corduroy and fur range, with the round bed and the mat, that lists one
- Walls
- Wide-wale corduroy outside, soft fill; 17, 18 and 19 cm at the back and sides by size, lower at the front
- Under the dog
- A fur-topped cushion with a soft fill. No foam is listed, so no orthopedic claim is made here
- Sizes
- XS 50 x 43 x 17 cm, Small 60 x 52 x 18 cm, Medium 70 x 60 x 19 cm outside
- Warmth
- Fur inside keeps the dog's own heat in; corduroy outside. No heating element
- Colours
- Pale pink (a dusty pale pink, nearly cream, in every photograph), White, Grey (a light silver) and Brown (a light tan rather than a chocolate). White shows dirt first; the tan hides tan hair
- Where it goes
- Tiles, floorboards, a crate tray, the car footwell, beside the couch: anywhere a bed needs to stay put. On carpet too, where the grip base is simply not needed
- Care
- Wipe clean with pet wipes. Not machine or hand washable: the fill holds water and is very hard to dry. A rubber glove lifts hair off the corduroy; brush the fur weekly
- The family
- Furry Curves Open Front: one size up (90 x 60 cm), all fur, no grip base listed. Furry Corduroy Round Bed: this corduroy as a donut. Furry Corduroy Sleeping Mat: flat, same rubber dots. SNÜZ: memory foam
- Cover
- No zips: the cover does not come off. Wipe clean only

How to
How to size it, place it and keep it clean

Measure the curl, not the breed
Curled up, nose to tail base: under 28 cm the XS, under 35 cm the Small, under 45 cm the Medium. A dog that sleeps flat out wants the corduroy mat, not a bigger sofa.

Put the low side where the dog comes from
Front to the room, back to the wall or the couch. On tiles or a crate tray the rubber dots hold it; give it a day and the dog will have chosen which way round it lives.

Let them make the nest
Circling, kneading the fur and pushing the nose into a corner is the bed being used properly. Plump the cushion now and then, not every morning.

Glove the corduroy, wipe it down
A rubber glove lifts hair off the ribs; a slicker brush stands the fur back up. Wipe it down with pet wipes, weekly for a dog with itchy skin and the same day after an accident. No machine and no hand wash: the fill holds water.

Watch how they get up
If the dog is stiff after a sleep, slow to rise or hesitating at even this front, a low step is not the fix: see your vet, and move to published memory foam (the SNÜZ, or the SNÖR, which has a low entrance too).
Vet noteDr Duncan Houston, BVSc
A bed is comfort, not treatment. There is no foam listed in this bed, so it does nothing for a sore joint; what a low front does is take one small jump out of a dog's day, which is worth having for a long-backed or an old dog and is not a therapy. A dog that is stiff after rest, slow to rise, reluctant to jump or use stairs, licking at one joint or limping for more than a day or two needs a veterinary examination and, usually, published memory foam under it. A Dachshund or any long-backed dog that suddenly cries when picked up, walks oddly behind, or will not jump at all is an emergency, not a bed problem: that is a spine, and it is a same-day vet visit. Anxiety: three walls make a nervous dog feel safer, and a dog that panics when left, in a crate or in a car, panting, drooling, pacing, scratching to get out, has a fear that needs training, sometimes medication, and a vet; a softer bed will not fix it. Heat: fur inside a three-walled bed is warm in a hot room or a car for a flat-faced dog, an overweight dog or an old one; put it in a cool room in summer, and never leave any dog in a parked car, bed or no bed. Chewers: a dog that opens a seam and eats the fill can block a gut, so check the walls and the zip weekly and supervise a puppy with any soft bed. Accidents: wipe it straight away and let it dry fully; it cannot go in the machine. Crates: a bed in a crate is bedding, not a reason to leave a puppy shut in longer; a rubber-dot base stops it bunching on the tray, and nothing else.

Why I designed it
The bed you walk into, for the dog that should not be jumping.
The dogs I most want kept off jumps are the long-backed ones and the old ones: the Dachshund, the Corgi, the Shih Tzu, the twelve-year-old Cavalier, and every puppy whose growth plates are still open. None of them needs a bed with a wall on all four sides that they hop in and out of twenty times a day.
- Three walls to lean a chin on and a front they walk overThis one has three walls to lean a chin on and a front they walk over, the corduroy outside that takes claws and brushes clean, the fur inside they knead, and a rubber-dot base so the bed does not shoot across the tiles as they step in, which is the moment an old dog slips.
- A small-dog bed, from a cat to about 12 kgThree sizes, 50 to 70 cm, sized by the dog curled: a small-dog bed, from a cat to about 12 kg.
- The honest linesThere is no foam listed in this bed, and a dog with sore joints belongs on the SNÜZ or the SNÖR, which have published memory foam; the SNÖR has a low entrance too.
- Calming is a wall to lean onCalming is a wall to lean on, which is real, not a treatment. Bridie and Kiko tested every version.

Based on 11 Judge.me reviews
My dog immediately claimed this bed and hasn't wanted to leave it. The material is incredibly soft, and the high, padded sides are perfect for him to curl up against. It looks great in the living room and gets a 10/10 from the ultimate judge!
May 2026 This bed doesn't wobble or shift when she steps in, which gives her confidence approaching it. The corduroy texture feels soft yet substantial against her fur.

Which size do I buy?
Measure the dog curled up, nose to the base of the tail, and buy the bed that gives that room to turn inside three walls: under about 28 cm the XS, under 35 cm the Small, under 45 cm the Medium. As a guide that is cats and dogs to about 4 kg, 4 to 8 kg, and 8 to 12 kg or two toy dogs; one verified buyer's 3 kg Yorkie is in the Small. Between sizes, go up, and past 12 kg go to the SNÜZ Vet Orthopedic Bed. A dog that sleeps flat out on its side wants the Furry Corduroy Sleeping Mat instead.
Is it orthopedic?
No. There is no foam listed anywhere in this bed; the walls and the cushion are a soft fill under corduroy and fur, which is comfortable for a healthy dog or cat and does nothing for a sore joint. What the bed does have is a lower front, which takes one small jump out of an old dog's day. A dog that gets up stiff, a dog after surgery or an old dog that struggles to rise belongs on the SNÜZ Vet Orthopedic Bed or the SNÖR Vet Orthopedic Bed, which have published two-layer memory foam; the SNÖR has a low entrance too.
How low is the front, and who is it for?
Three walls stand at the bed's full height, 17 to 19 cm by size, and the front drops to a step the dog walks over; in every photograph it sits well below the three walls, a step rather than a climb. It is for the dogs a vet would rather not see jumping: Dachshunds, Corgis, Bassets and other long backs, small dogs past ten, puppies whose growth plates are still open, and any dog recovering from a procedure once your vet says a step is fine. It is also a good cat bed: walls to lean on, no lid, and a front a cat can see the room over.
This or the fur open-front bed?
Same idea, different skin, different size. This one is corduroy outside and fur inside, has a rubber-dot base and comes in three small sizes to 70 cm and four colours. The Furry Curves Open Front Rectangle Bed is fur inside and out, one size at 90 x 60 cm for a dog to about 15 kg, no grip base listed. Hard floors, a crate, a claw-happy dog or a dog under 12 kg: this one. Carpet, a bigger dog and a fur lover: the curves. A dog that sleeps in a tight ball rather than against a wall wants the Furry Corduroy Round Bed, which is this corduroy as a donut.
Does it slide on tiles, and does it fit a crate?
No, and yes. The base is rubber dots, so it stays put on tiles, floorboards and laminate, and it does not bunch on a plastic crate tray the way a fur bed does. Crates: the XS fits a 24 or 30 inch tray, the Small a 36, the Medium a 42; measure the tray before you order, because a walled bed spends floor on its walls. In a crate put the low front towards the door.
Will it help my anxious dog?
In one specific way: three walls and a familiar bed that smells of home make a nervous dog feel safer in a strange room, a crate or a holiday rental, and that is real. It is not a treatment. A dog that panics when left, or in a crate or a car, panting, drooling, pacing, scratching to get out, has a fear that needs training, sometimes medication, and a vet; a softer bed will not fix it.
How do I clean it, and does it hold hair?
Wipe it clean with pet wipes. There are no zips, the cover does not come off, and it is not machine or hand washable: the fill would hold the water and be very hard to dry. Corduroy holds less hair than fur and a rubber glove lifts what it holds; the fur inside wants a slicker brush once a week. White shows dirt first; the Brown, which is a light tan, hides tan hair.
What if the size is wrong, or it arrives damaged?
Damaged on arrival or faulty: email hello@woopf.com with a photo and your order number as soon as you notice, and it is covered. Wrong size and it is unused in its packaging: email within 14 days and we will consider a return. A bed a dog has slept on cannot come back for hygiene reasons, so measure the curl before you order rather than after.
