FAQs
Does this work for cats as well as dogs?
Yes — this is built as a GPS tracker collar for dogs and cats. Fit and comfort depend on your collar setup and pet size. The product weighs 60g and is suitable for animals 4kg and above.
Do I still need a microchip if I have this tracker?
We recommend both. Microchips are permanent ID but must be scanned and details can be out of date. This adds scannable QR/NFC ID plus live GPS tracking to support faster recovery.
Will a finder need the Ask A Vet app?
No — Lost Pet ID is designed to be accessible via QR Displayed on the home screen so a finder can reach you quickly. You will also get an instant notification of their scanned location.
Is the health monitoring a medical diagnosis?
No. It provides informational insights and trends to help you notice changes earlier and help our vets or your vet look after your pet's health. Always consult your veterinarian or speak to a 24/7 Ask A Vet veterinarian for any questions or concerns you may have.
How accurate is the GPS tracking?
Accuracy depends on network coverage and environment (trees, buildings, terrain). The goal is reliable tracking with fast alerts when your pet moves.
Is it waterproof for swimming?
It’s rated IPX67 waterproof, meaning it can be sumersed up to 1m for 30 minutes. Rinse after saltwater use and ensure it’s clean/dry before charging.
