- 0:00 Good day. I'm Dr Duncan Houston and this is my fake living room.
- 0:12 Here is the Blocky Bone. So look, this is one of my own designs. Most of my stuff is my own designs on the website. Sometimes I just choose from manufacturers if something's good enough. But these come in four different colors, and each color is a different strength. If we're going through these, you have the white one, or the glow-in-the-dark one. This is the softest out of all four. It's just because it's made out of a silicone material, whereas these are rubber.
- 0:33 So, the next one is the blue one. So, the silicone is 50 to 60 Newton meters in strength. This one is 60 to 70 Newton meters in strength. Then you've got 70 to 80, about the purple one. 80 to 90, roughly, for the black one.
- 0:48 You've got pockets on either end. And they're not just the width of the kind of the bulgy parts. The pocket goes to about in here, so it does go into part of the stem. And same with this one, only goes into part of the stem. You can put paste, you can put some treats in there, you can break up stuff. It's got little flaps on the side to keep food in. I'm sure dogs will probably chew the flaps open, but you know, at least you can put some peanut butter and stuff in there. And then I've put these little W's all around the outside.
- 1:15 So, it's a design, there's a reason behind it. Little W's aid in, I guess, chewing and for dental and gum health. They're not going to fix everything, but they will help in terms of, you know, gingivitis, gum disease, and cleaning the teeth. Plus, you can also wipe like peanut butter, or you can get those kind of toothpaste-tasting kind of pastes, and you can put that all over the outside as well. And it's not like a flat surface where it will just wipe off. This will catch things in and keep the dog occupied. All of these are part of the Chewster range as well.
- 1:48 The silicone unfortunately doesn't have the next thing because I can't do it with silicone, but these have 25% recycled rubber. I can only make them in these three strengths because, unfortunately, and 25% maximum of recycled material, because if I add more recycled material, it does make them too brittle. Same as if I make them harder than the black one or if I make them softer. The soft one, you know, gets chewed up, so I didn't make the soft one. But the harder I make this rubber material—so harder than black—I can't put the 25% recycled material in there, cause otherwise it's not as strong, it kind of may break.
- 2:16 So, the Chewster material—all the Chewster range—is all 25% recycled material at the moment. But you know, later on in 2026, I hope that I can bring out ones that don't have the recycled material. The reason why that's a hope is because I will bring them out in stronger strengths. There is meant to be an invincible version, which I've been working with with the manufacturer. And we have gotten it to like about 150 Newton meters of strength, so twice as strong as the purple one, which is our standard strength.
- 2:43 So, this one still has a bit of give when you're chewing it, or it is a bit squishy when you do it, but I will bring out one that is twice as strong as this. And again, this is the large size. There'll be a medium and small coming out later in 2026, as well as an extra-large size—so a bigger one. That's the Blocky Bone range. This is actually quite a popular product, so yeah, I'll be bringing out more sizes and more colors in that.

Pick the size your dog cannot fit fully inside their mouth. If the whole toy disappears behind the teeth, it is too small.

Between two sizes, go up. A bigger Blocky Bone is safer and lasts longer.

How to use a treat-dispensing chew toy safely
Size it right
Use the guide above. When in doubt, go up a size.
Introduce it stuffed
The first session should be a win: pack both ends with something your dog loves and let them work it out while you are in the room.
Freeze for longer sessions
Stuffed and frozen, the Blocky Bone keeps most dogs busy for 20 to 40 minutes. Use it before you leave the house, during visitors, or after a big walk.
Inspect after every session
Look at the ends and the holes. Retire the toy once a piece can be bitten off or a hole has widened enough to trap a jaw.
Count the calories
Whatever goes in the holes comes out of the daily food allowance. Treats should stay under 10% of daily calories.

No chew toy is indestructible, and a determined dog can damage anything given enough time. Supervise sessions, especially the first few. Never use peanut butter that contains xylitol (sometimes labelled birch sugar): it is toxic to dogs. If your dog swallows a piece of any toy and vomits, strains, or goes off food, see a vet the same day.

My boy absolutely loves his treat-dispensing toy! He can sit and play with it for long stretches, completely focused on figuring out how to get every last treat out. It’s very well made and keeps him engaged, happy, and mentally stimulated. Thank you for such an amazing product!

Is the Blocky Bone safe for aggressive chewers?
It is built for them: dense food-grade rubber, no seams. Owners of staffies and cattle dogs are the ones leaving the five-star reviews. Two rules still apply to every chew toy: supervise the first sessions, and retire the toy once a piece can be bitten off. Size up if your dog is between sizes.
Which size should I buy?
Small for dogs up to 10 kg, Medium for 10 to 25 kg, Large for 25 kg and up. The toy must be too big to fit fully inside the mouth. A power chewer under 10 kg should take the Medium.
What can I put in it?
Kibble, wet food, plain yoghurt, mashed banana or pumpkin, and peanut butter that is free of xylitol. Freeze it for a longer session. Whatever goes in counts toward the day's food.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes once the adult teeth are through, usually from about six months. For a teething puppy choose the soft strength of the Chewster Turtleshell or the Chewster Donut instead, and supervise.
How do I clean it?
Top rack of the dishwasher, or warm soapy water with a bottle brush through the holes. Let it dry before refilling.
Does it clean teeth?
The grooves and texture scrub the tooth surface and get saliva flowing, which helps between brushes. It does not replace brushing or a dental check. If you can see brown tartar or smell the breath from across the room, that needs a vet, not a toy.
What if it arrives damaged or the wrong size?
Damaged on arrival or faulty: email hello@woopf.com with a photo and your order number as soon as you notice, and it is covered. Wrong size and it is unused in its packaging: email within 14 days and we will look at a swap.
