The Smart GPS & Health Tracker and the Smart ID Tag for the same collar: live 4G GPS and a virtual fence for the day they bolt, a battery-free QR and NFC tag for the day the tracker is flat, and one free Ask A Vet profile behind both. Pick the tracker colour, the tag size and the tag design. The tracker's plan is the only subscription.
The tracker's live GPS, fence and health trends run on the Tracker Plan in the Ask A Vet app. The tag needs no plan: its profile, the Lost Pet ID on the tracker screen and the app itself are free.

How it works
Why the tag goes with the tracker, which plan, and what the kit is not

Two ways home on one collar: live GPS while it is charged, a tag that never needs charging
The Smart GPS & Health Tracker has its own 4G connection and GPS receiver, so it reports from wherever the dog is.
- Live dot, fence and collar screenA live dot and the route in the Ask A Vet app, a virtual fence around home with an alert the moment they leave, and a touchscreen on the collar that shows a Lost Pet QR ID.
- Up to 30 days a chargeAccuracy depends on signal and surroundings, and the battery lasts up to 30 days, in practice two to four weeks.
- A tag with no batterySilicone with a printed QR code and an embedded NFC chip, no battery, no signal needed, read by any phone camera or a tap, and it is on the collar on the days the tracker is charging.
- The finder reaches you either wayBetween the two, the finder is talking to you whether the tracker was charged or not, and the microchip, which neither replaces, is there for the pound.

One profile behind both, one plan for one of them
The tag and the tracker screen point at the same free Ask A Vet pet profile. Change a phone number tonight and both are current tomorrow morning; nothing is engraved.
- One plan per trackerThe tracker's live GPS, fence, activity and sleep trends and location history run on the Tracker Plan, one tracker per plan.
- No plan for the tag, everThe tag needs no plan, ever, and the Lost Pet ID on the tracker screen is free too.
- Tag sizes and designsThe tag comes in Small (cats and dogs to about 10 kg, or a thin collar) or Medium, in eleven food designs, Black or White round tags, or the Slide-On that sits flat on the collar for swimmers and dogs that chew a dangling tag.
- One size, on your own collarThe tracker is one size, for dogs and cats from about 4 kg, and mounts on your own flat collar beside the tag.

The maths, and what the kit is not
Four things the kit is not.
- Not a discount todayToday the kit costs more than its two parts; until it is repriced the two are cheaper bought separately.
- The tag does not trackIt is not a tag that tracks: the tag tells you where your dog was scanned, the tracker where it is now.
- No substitute for the microchipIt is not a substitute for the microchip, which works with no battery at the vet or the pound.
- Not a two-dog kitIt is not a two-dog kit: the Two Trackers Bundle is two trackers for two dogs, and the Two ID Tags Bundle is two tags for one dog's collar and harness.

Three sizing rules
-
The tracker is one size, for dogs and cats from about 4 kg, and mounts on your own flat collar with the two silicone back straps, screen facing out, to one side of the throat; pick Black / Gold or White / Gold. The tag is sized by the animal: Small for cats and dogs to about 10 kg or a thin collar, Medium for dogs over 10 kg on a standard collar. Both go on the same collar, the tag on the D-ring and the tracker on the strap.
-
The tag design is yours: eleven food designs, the Black or White round tag, or the Slide-On, which sits flat on the collar with nothing to dangle, snag or chew, and is the one for swimmers, dogs that run through scrub and dogs that live with a housemate who chews tags. Cats wear either on a breakaway collar.
-
The price is the same for every combination, and today the kit costs more than its two parts; until it is repriced the two are cheaper bought separately. The tracker's live GPS runs on the Tracker Plan; the tag needs no plan.

How to
How to set up the tracker and the tag together

Charge the tracker, build the profile
USB-C to full before the first walk. In the Ask A Vet app, make your dog's profile with a photo, two phone numbers, medications and the line a finder needs, then scan the QR inside the tracker lid to pair it.

Activate the tag on the same profile
Scan the tag's QR code with your own phone and link it to the profile you just built, so the tag and the tracker screen show the same page. Test it: tap or scan the tag with a second phone and check the alert arrives on yours.

Choose the Tracker Plan
Live GPS, the fence and the health trends run on it, one tracker per plan; the tag needs nothing. If you have two pets, Premium covers two trackers and adds the vet chats.

Mount both on one collar
Thread the flat collar through the tracker's two back straps, screen facing out, to one side of the throat; the tag on the collar's D-ring, or the Slide-On threaded onto the collar beside the tracker. Two fingers under the collar; a breakaway collar for a cat.

Draw the fence, then keep the profile current
Set the safe zone before the first night and turn on escape alerts. When a number changes, change the profile: both the tag and the screen update. Charge the tracker every two to four weeks; the tag needs nothing.
Vet noteDr Duncan Houston, BVSc
A tracker tells you where your dog is; it does not stop them getting out, so fix the fence, the recall and the door routine as well. A tag tells you where your dog was scanned, not where it is now, and it works only if the profile behind it is current, so change the number the day it changes. Nothing on the collar replaces the microchip; keep it registered to a phone that answers, because the chip is what the pound reads when the tracker is flat and the tag has come off. Activity, sleep and temperature data from the tracker are context for a conversation with a vet, not a diagnosis; a quiet dog with a normal step count can still be sick. Use the sound and vibration cues to mark and reward, never to startle or punish. Cats wear both only on a breakaway collar that opens if it catches, and the tracker only from about 4 kg. Take the tracker off for grooming, bathing with shampoo and whenever a clinic asks, check the skin under it weekly, and check the tag monthly for splits, because a housemate can chew any silicone tag.

Why the tag goes with the tracker
The tracker finds them. The tag is for the day it is flat.
A dog a stranger brings into my ER at 2 am has one problem: no way home. A GPS tracker solves it while it is charged, and the day it is not, on the charger or run down after a fortnight of live tracking, is the day the gate is left open.
- Two ways home on one collarThat is why I run both on my own dogs' collars: the tracker for the live dot and the fence alert, and a battery-free tag whose QR code and NFC chip work with any phone, no app, no signal, no charge, and land the finder on the same Ask A Vet profile the tracker screen shows.
- One profile behind bothEdit the profile once and both are current.
- The honest linesThis kit costs more today than the two parts bought apart; until it is repriced the two are cheaper bought separately, and I would rather tell you that than let a strike-through say the opposite.
- The plan, and the chipThe tracker's plan is the only subscription; the tag never needs one. Neither replaces the microchip, which is the identifier the pound reads with no battery at all.
- Breakaway collars and 4 kg for catsCats wear both only on a breakaway collar, and only from about 4 kg for the tracker. Bridie and Kiko tested every version.

Part of the Ask A Vet ecosystem
One profile, two ways to reach it, one vet behind it. Ask a vet.
WOOPF™ is the dog product arm of Ask A Vet, Dr Duncan Houston's animal health platform, and both halves of this kit are Ask A Vet devices: the tag's profile and the tracker's live location, activity and alerts sit in the same app beside the medications you keep. On the Premium plan a certified vet chats with you twice a month.

What is in the kit, and what does it cost against the parts?
One Smart GPS & Health Tracker in Black / Gold or White / Gold, with its back straps, cable and setup QR, and one Smart ID Tag in the size and design you choose. At today's prices the kit costs more than the two bought separately. Until the kit is repriced, buy the two apart if the money matters; the profile, the plan and the collar are the same either way.
Do I need a subscription for the tag, the tracker or both?
Only for the tracker. Its live GPS, the fence, the activity and sleep trends and the location history run on the Tracker Plan in the Ask A Vet app, one tracker per plan; the Premium plan (for two pets) covers two trackers and adds unlimited AI vet chat and two certified vet chats a month. The tag needs no plan, ever: its profile is free for life, and so are the pet profile, the Lost Pet ID on the tracker screen and the app itself.
Which tag size and design, and which tracker colour?
The tag is Small for cats and dogs to about 10 kg or a thin collar, Medium for dogs over 10 kg on a standard collar. The design is yours: eleven food designs, the Black or White round tag, or the Slide-On, which sits flat on the collar with nothing to dangle, for swimmers, scrub runners and dogs that live with a tag chewer. The tracker is one size, for dogs and cats from about 4 kg, in Black / Gold or White / Gold; the price is the same for every combination.
Why both a tracker and a tag?
Because the tracker is a battery and the tag is not. The tracker gives you the live dot, the route and the fence alert while it is charged, which is up to 30 days and in practice two to four weeks; the day it is on the charger, or flat after a fortnight of live tracking, is a day your dog has no ID on the collar unless the tag is there. The tag's QR and NFC work with any phone, no app, no signal, no charge, and land the finder on the same profile. The tracker page recommends the pair; this kit is the pair.
Can I put both on one collar?
Yes, and that is how they are meant to sit: the tracker on the flat collar through its two silicone back straps, screen facing out and to one side of the throat, and the tag on the collar's D-ring, or the Slide-On threaded onto the collar beside the tracker. Two fingers under the collar, and neither should swing when they shake. The Explorer Collar has the D-ring and the flat webbing for it.
Does either replace the microchip?
No. The chip is the legal identifier and works with no battery at the vet or the pound, which is where a dog ends up when the tracker is flat and the tag has come off. Keep the chip registered to a phone that answers. The setup I recommend is chip plus tag plus tracker, and the chip is the one most owners forget to update when they move.
Will it suit a cat?
The tag, yes: it weighs about 10 grams, has no metal edges and most cats forget it is there; a cat wears any tag on a breakaway collar. The tracker suits cats from about 4 kg on a breakaway collar; below that it is too much collar for the animal and the tag alone is the right thing. A dog and a cat in one house are the case for the Two Trackers Bundle only if both are over 4 kg.
What is in the box, and what if one arrives faulty?
The tracker with two silicone back straps, a one metre USB-C cable and the setup QR inside the lid, and the tag with its split ring. Faulty or damaged on arrival: email hello@woopf.com as soon as you notice, with a photo, your order number and which of the two it is, and it is covered. For anything else, the same address reaches the Ask A Vet hardware support team.
