探险者双口袋包

The soft pouch that carries the whole walk: two rolls of bags behind a rubber outlet that feeds one at a time, a separate zipped pocket for treats, keys and a card, a hook for the tied bag until the next bin, and a clip or Velcro straps for any lead. Soft, so it never knocks a dog that walks close. Wipes clean.

Read the script
  1. 0:05 G’day, I’m Dr Duncan Houston, and this is my fake living room.
  2. 0:12 Today we’re looking at all the different colours of the two-pocket treat pouch dispenser by WOOPF™. That’s right, look at all these colours. I can hold it in one hand, just. So we’ve got blue, red, purple, pink, yellow, green, orange and grey for all the boring people.
  3. 0:30 So I love colours. That’s why these all come in different colours. Now let’s look at them a bit more.
  4. 0:35 Alright, so here, these treat pouches, I have built them to be the size that they fit a credit card. Yes, most people have their cards on their phone now, but unfortunately I have parents that are old, and my dad tends to still carry his credit card.
  5. 0:48 So the credit card in here, yes, fits nicely, but you can also put your keys, you can put treats, you can put whatever you want.
  6. 0:54 There are two pouches here because everybody should have one pocket for poo bags. Everybody should carry poo bags. Nobody wants to step in poo. Nobody wants to see poo out there. So you should always have a poo bag dispenser in it, or you should have a poo bag dispenser.
  7. 1:07 These don’t just fit one roll. They should fit two rolls. You can have one roll that’s dispensing, the poo bags are coming out, and then you have a backup roll.
  8. 1:15 That’s right, because so many times I’ve gone out there, and then you run out of poo bags because your dog decides to do multiple or more than usual. Then you run out of bags, and then there’s poo sitting there, and I have to flick it off into the bush or stick it with a stick and carry it around to a bin.
  9. 1:27 Anyway, so you’ve got two different pockets on this. Now what else is on here?
  10. 1:31 You have a matte gunmetal clip, so you can clip this on anything. You can clip it onto your pants, clip it onto your dog if you want to, onto their harness or whatever. This clips on nice and easy.
  11. 1:40 The next option is you have Velcro straps. These two Velcro straps mean that you can strap it around anywhere. You can put it on a harness, you can put it on a lead, you can put it on your bag, you can put it anywhere you want.
  12. 1:50 These will stretch. They’re elastic, so they’ll be able to stretch around any measurement or any size to make sure that these can go on anything.
  13. 1:57 Now the last thing that everybody gets confused about is this little hook on the bottom. This little hook is, once you pick up your poo, you tie the bag off, you actually slide it so the knot is above the hook, and it hangs on there.
  14. 2:09 When you go to chuck your poo out at the garbage bin, it’s just hanging on here. You don’t have to carry it around, put it in a pocket or just leave it where it is. So this means you can hang it, and when you get to the rubbish bin, you can just take it off and chuck it out.
  15. 2:20 That’s what this hook is for. It hooks the poo bags on.
  16. 2:23 Yeah, it’s made out of nice water-resistant material, looks very nice and easy, comes in a range of colours. I love colours. I want everything to match.
  17. 2:30 That’s why you’ve got so many different colour options for leads, harnesses, poo bags, stuff, everything in waterproof and non-waterproof or water-resistant material. Anyway.

How it works

Why one soft pouch beats a hard holder and a pocket full of crumbs

Illustrated woman kneeling with the Purple Explorer Dual Pocket Pouch open on treats and two bag rolls, holding a treat out to a golden retriever

Two pockets, because treats and bags should never share one

The front pocket holds two rolls of 15 and feeds them one bag at a time through a rubber outlet, so the roll stays put and you pull exactly one.

  • A zipped pocket for treatsThe back pocket is a separate zipped compartment for the training treats, a house key, a car fob and a standard card.
  • Kept apart, found without lookingThe treat you hand over has never sat against a bag roll and your hand knows which pocket it is in without looking.
  • All soft fabricThe whole thing is soft fabric with no hard shell.
  • Nothing swings into the dogOn a short lead a hard holder swings into the head of a dog that walks at your knee, and this one does not.
Illustrated woman pulling one bag out of the Purple Explorer Dual Pocket Pouch, a tied bag hanging on its side hook and a golden retriever watching

One bag at a time, then a hook for the full one

The rubber outlet grips the roll so that a tug pulls one bag through and leaves the next one waiting, with cold hands or a dog leaning on the lead.

  • A hook for the full bagOnce it is tied, the small hook on the side of the pouch carries the full bag to the next bin.
  • Water-resistant, wipes cleanThe fabric is water-resistant and wipes clean.
  • Mud off with a damp clothRain, mud, treat crumbs and the occasional disaster come off with a damp cloth.
  • Plastic zips, no rustThe plastic zips cannot rust or jam the way metal ones do after a wet winter.
Illustrated woman walking a golden retriever with the Purple Explorer Dual Pocket Pouch clipped to the lead handle, and the pouch strapped round a waist

Clip it or strap it, on any lead, belt or bag

A rustproof 360 degree swivel clip hooks it to the handle of any lead and lets it hang without twisting the webbing.

  • Straps for a belt or bagFor a lead with no handle loop, a belt, a running vest or a backpack strap, the elastic heat-sealed Velcro straps wrap round and hold it flat so it does not bounce.
  • Small enough to forgetAt 11 by 6 by 7 cm it is small enough to forget and big enough for two rolls and the treats.
  • Eight colours to matchEight colours match the Explorer Harness, the Collar and the leads.
  • Made for Poop & Go rollsThe Poop & Go rolls fit the outlet exactly.

Size guide

Dual Pocket Pouch guide: what fits and where it goes

Three fit rules

  • One size: 11 x 6 x 7 cm (4 x 2 x 3 in). The front pocket takes two standard rolls of 15 bags (the Poop & Go rolls, or any roll that fits a normal dispenser); the back pocket takes a standard credit card flat, a house key, a car fob, folded cash and a handful of small treats. Most phones do not fit.

  • Attach it to the human side of the walk: the lead handle by the clip, or a belt, vest or bag strap by the Velcro straps. Do not clip it to the dog's harness or collar, where it bounces against the ribs and the treats are the dog's to steal.

  • Load soft, small training treats (pea-sized for a small dog, fingernail-sized for a large one) and keep treats to about 10 percent of the day's calories. Wipe the treat pocket out weekly; used bags never go inside either pocket.

How to

How to set up the pouch

  • Illustrated woman threading the first bag through the rubber outlet of the Purple Explorer Dual Pocket Pouch, two bag rolls in its front pocket and a golden retriever watching

    Load the rolls

Unzip the front pocket, drop in two rolls with the loose end of one facing the outlet, and thread the first bag through the rubber ring. Zip it shut.

  • Illustrated woman putting a key into the back pocket of the Purple Explorer Dual Pocket Pouch beside treats, a card and cash, a golden retriever watching

Treats and keys in the back

The back pocket is for the training treats, a key, a card and cash. Keep it for those things only, so your hand never has to check.

  • Illustrated woman strapping the Purple Explorer Dual Pocket Pouch round her waist, the pouch clipped to a lead handle beside her and a golden retriever watching

    Clip it or strap it

Swivel clip to the lead handle, or Velcro straps round a belt, a vest or a bag strap. It goes on your side of the walk, never on the dog.

  • Illustrated woman wearing the Purple Explorer Dual Pocket Pouch at her waist, a tied bag hanging on its side hook and a golden retriever looking up

Pull one, pick up, look, tie, hook

One tug pulls one bag. Pick up, glance at colour and firmness, tie the knot and hang the bag on the side hook until the next bin.

  • Illustrated woman wiping out the open pockets of the Purple Explorer Dual Pocket Pouch with a cloth, a golden retriever watching

    Wipe it out weekly

Damp cloth and mild soap through both pockets, rinse the outlet, air dry open. Check the clip gate and the Velcro every month.

Vet noteDr Duncan Houston, emergency veterinarian

Pick up every time, for the dogs more than the neighbours. Hookworm larvae in faeces left on the ground are infective within days and roundworm eggs within a few weeks, both survive in soil for months, and children and other dogs pick them up. While you are down there, look: colour, firmness, mucus, blood, worms and frequency are the daily health check most owners walk past, and a change that lasts more than two days, or any blood, is worth a vet conversation. Keep treats and used bags apart, never carry a used bag inside either pocket, wipe the pouch out weekly, and wash your hands or use sanitiser after every pick-up. Keep treats to about 10 percent of daily calories and count them in the day's food.

Dr Duncan Houston with Bridie and Kiko
Dr Duncan Houston Emergency veterinarian and founder of WOOPF™

Why I designed it

The bag holder is the piece of gear you touch on every single walk. So it should carry the treats too.

Two things happen on every walk that decide how the dog turns out: the second after they do something right, when the treat has to be in your hand and not in a coat pocket under a glove, and the minute you spend picking up after them, which is the only daily look most owners ever get at their dog's gut. I wanted one pouch on the lead that did both jobs and kept them apart.

  • Two pockets: rolls in the front, treats in the backThe front pocket takes two rolls and feeds one bag at a time through a rubber outlet, so you are not unrolling half a roll in the wind. The back pocket zips shut over the treats, a key and a card.
  • One bag at a time, then the hookThere is a hook on the side for the tied bag, because the bin is never where the dog is, and a swivel clip or Velcro straps so it goes on any lead, a belt or a bag.
  • Soft, so it never hits the dogAnd it is soft on purpose: a hard plastic holder on a short lead swings straight into the head of a dog that walks close, and one of our customers said exactly that before I had to.
  • Tested at homeBridie and Kiko tested every version.
  • Look before you tie the knotThe vet part is simple: pick up every time, because roundworm eggs in what you leave behind stay infective in the soil for months, and look before you tie the knot, because a change in colour, firmness or frequency that lasts more than a couple of days is a conversation worth having early.

    • This is the best holder for me by far! Its soft. My boy stays by my side when on leash and when I had the other hard holders they would hit my baby in the head! This one is nice and soft so his poor head is safe!!! And it holds the bags and treats nicely!

    • I like these for large capacity for bags/treats, and they look nicew and match the leash. No ugly flapping baggie crinkling in the wind. 5 star.

    Which poop bags fit it?

Any standard roll of 15 that fits a normal dispenser, two at a time. The Poop & Go 100% Compostable Bags and the 50% Recycled Bags are made for it; thread the first bag of one roll through the rubber outlet and the second roll waits behind it. If you are starting from nothing, the No-Mess Walk Kit is this pouch with 150 compostable bags, and it clears the free-shipping threshold on its own.

How does it attach, and can it go on the dog?

Two ways. The rustproof swivel clip hooks onto the handle of any lead and turns so the webbing never twists. For a lead without a handle loop, a belt, a running vest or a backpack strap, the elastic Velcro straps wrap round and hold it flat. It goes on your side of the walk, not the dog's: a pouch on a harness bounces against the ribs, and the treats are then the dog's to steal.

    Is it waterproof?

Water-resistant. Rain, drizzle, a wet bench and a muddy paw wipe off and the contents stay dry in normal weather. It is not a dry bag: the zips are not sealed, so a phone in a downpour is not its job. Wipe it out with a damp cloth and let it dry open.

    Does it come with bags?

The pouch is sold on its own and bags are bought separately, either the Poop & Go 100% Compostable Bags or the 50% Recycled Bags. The No-Mess Walk Kit is the sure way to get pouch and bags together.

What fits in the back pocket?

A standard credit card flat, a house key, a car fob, folded cash and a handful of small training treats. The pouch is 11 x 6 x 7 cm, so most phones do not fit; that is what keeps it small enough to forget on the lead. Council tags and a spare Smart ID Tag fit with room to spare.

Why carry treats on every walk?

Because the second after your dog does the right thing is the only moment the reward means anything, and a treat in a coat pocket under a glove arrives too late. A pouch on the lead puts it in your hand in time, which is most of loose-lead walking. Use small, soft treats, count them as part of the day's food, and keep them to about 10 percent of calories; a golden retriever's daily treat budget is smaller than people think.

What should I look for when I pick up?

Colour (chocolate brown is normal; black, red, grey or yellow is not), firmness (formed and easy to pick up), mucus, blood, worms or rice-grain segments, and how often. One odd stool after a scavenged snack is nothing; a change that lasts more than two days, any blood, or diarrhoea in a puppy or an old dog is a vet conversation.

What if it arrives damaged or I chose the wrong colour?

Email hello@woopf.com as soon as you notice, with a photo and your order number. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items are fully covered and we pay the return shipping when the error is ours. Wrong colour and unused in its packaging? Email within 14 days and we will look at a swap.
