- 0:05 Good day. I'm Dr. Duncan Houston and this is my fake living room.
- 0:12 What we've got here is the SNÜZ Vet Orthopedic range. This is like my premium, top-of-the-line range for beds. You've probably seen, maybe you've seen, similar beds to this online. Why is mine different? Well, I'll tell you. These ones have lavender-infused memory foam. So, all this vet orthopedic range that I have, all the memory foam is lavender-infused. So, it's going to help them have a good sleep. Why is sleep good? Less likely to have issues, more likely to be healthy long-term. Lavender to help them have a deeper sleep, longer sleep, and have a really good sleep.
- 0:44 Let's go back to the beds. Why are these good? Look, this is the thick corduroy fabric. This is actually my favorite. I've got three fabrics at the moment, which is the bouclé, looks very modern and nice. I've got the suede, looks very nice, you know, very kind of smooth when you touch it and stuff. And here's the thick corduroy range. I really like this one because obviously it's softer. It just feels really nice. I'm sure dogs will really like it as well.
- 1:06 So, let me look at this. They all have a removable pillow in the center. So, this is nice fabric; I can zip this off. And then you can see this is purple from the lavender memory foam. This is the memory foam kind of center block. Got a waterproof cover over the top. So, if your dog pees or poos the bed, they can easily save the memory foam and just wash the outside. Cold wash only, less than 30°, slow spin cycle. These are really good, really easy to wash. Chuck it out in the sun for a bit, you know, very nice.
- 1:39 Anyway, we're left over with the bolster or the wall. Underneath this, you have the black surface with all the dots on it. These are little rubber dots. They won't grip on carpet and things like that, but they will grip on flat surfaces like tiles and, you know, wooden floors. The longer you leave them in the spot, you know, the dog will sleep on the bed, put some pressure on it. These dots work better over time. The longer it stays there, the stickier they get.
- 2:03 So, let's go and open this up so I can show you what's in the bolster and things or the wall. You know, nice high-quality zips. I can take this off. It will come off in one piece, which some of the competitors don't do. And you have a nice little window.
- 2:19 Anyway, look, this is slow spin cycle material and cold wash (so 30° or less), and then put it out in the sun. It also comes with a really nice leather logo. My logo, I love the name, I love the leather, smells so good.
- 2:32 So, anyway, look, here's the bolster. It comes with a waterproof material over the side. You can unzip this and you can put the memory foam out in the sun. But again, if your dog pees, poos, or even vomits in the bed, at least the memory foam is saved and you can just wash the cover.
- 2:46 Look, it comes in, like this isn't black, this is a very dark gray. This is the darkest thick corduroy that I could get for them. They didn't have black specifically, so it is called black. It is kind of black, but it is slightly off; it's like a very dark charcoal. Then you got gray, and then you got cream. Look, if your dog's dirty or whatever, get the darkest one. Unless you really like having a nice-looking house when people come over occasionally, just remember you've got to wash these ones because they are lighter colors.
- 3:13 So, yeah, anyway, these are the beds. They're really good, you know, firm memory foam, low walls so they're easy to get into and put their heads on, and nice lavender-infused memory foam to have a really good sleep.

How it works
Why the corduroy SNÜZ is the bed for dogs that curl up

Walls all the way round, and a cushion that lifts out
The frame is the point. Ribbed corduroy bolsters run round all four sides at one height.
- A wall to lean onA dog that curls up has something to lean on whichever way it turns, and the head-on-the-edge sleepers get an edge on every side.
- Memory foam that lifts outInside the frame sits a memory foam cushion that lifts straight out.
- Shake, air, change the coverLift the cushion to shake out the crumbs and the sand, to air it in the sun, or to change the cover without wrestling the whole bed.
- Zip-off cover, grippy baseThe outer cover zips off from the base for the machine, and the base is a grippy rubber-dot fabric so the frame stays put when a dog turns its three circles.

Thick-line corduroy: warm, and forgiving of claws
Corduroy is ribs, and ribs trap air. That makes it warmer to lie on than a flat weave or a smooth suede.
- Short coats and cold floorsThis is the bed to buy for a whippet, a greyhound, a short-coated senior, or any dog on a cold floor in winter.
- Claw marks hide in the ribsThe ribs hide the marks that a scratching dog leaves on a smooth fabric, which makes corduroy the most forgiving cover in the SNÜZ family for a nester.
- A texture to nose intoThe ribs give a dog something to push its nose into.
- A damp glove, once a weekHair does sit in the ribs, so a weekly pass with a damp rubber glove is part of owning one.

Who it is for
This is the bed for the small and medium dogs that curl, for cats, for multi-pet households and for cold sleepers.
- A step in on every sideA frame is a step on every side.
- Which dog needs the SNÖRA dog that must not step over anything at all should be on the SNÖR.
- For everyone elseEveryone else gets the walls.

Three sizing rules
-
Measure your dog lying down the way they actually sleep, nose to the base of the tail. A curler needs a cushion at least 15 cm longer than that number; a dog that stretches out needs 30 cm. The frame takes room from every side, so do not size to the millimetre.
-
Weight bands: Small for cats and dogs to 12 kg, Medium for 12 to 30 kg, Large for 30 to 55 kg or for two smaller pets sharing. Between sizes, go up. Once it arrives, watch how they lie: a chin on the rim is right, a hip hanging over it means too small.
-
A dog that must not step over anything after surgery is better on the SNÖR.

How to
How to move your dog onto a new bed

Put it where they already sleep
Dogs choose spots, not beds. Same room, same corner, on top of wherever the old bed was. Move it to where you would like it a week later.

Give the cushion a day
If the cushion arrives compressed, lift it out of the frame, unzip nothing yet, and let the foam recover for 24 to 48 hours before you judge it. Memory foam softens a little as it warms under a dog.

Lure, do not lift
A few treats on the far rim, a meal fed in the bed, praise when they step in. Lifting a sore dog over the wall hurts you both and teaches nothing.

Fix the floor around it
The base grips, but the dog still pushes off the floor to get up. On tiles or floorboards, put a non-slip mat or rug beside the bed.

Brush it weekly, wash the cover every fortnight
A damp rubber glove along the ribs lifts the hair out in a minute. Every fortnight, lift the cushion out, unzip the cover from the base and machine wash it cold on a gentle cycle, then air dry; heat flattens the ribs. Never put the foam in the machine.
Vet noteDr Duncan Houston, BVSc
A bed is comfort, not treatment. Stiffness after rest, reluctance to jump or use stairs, licking at one joint, or a limp that lasts more than a day or two needs a veterinary examination, not a better bed. Orthopedic bedding is one part of arthritis care, alongside weight control, sensible exercise, joint support and the pain relief your vet prescribes. A callused elbow is normal on a big dog; a soft, fluid-filled swelling over the elbow is a hygroma and wants a vet before it becomes an abscess, and a padded bed is part of how it is managed. After orthopedic surgery, follow your surgeon's confinement plan: the bed belongs inside the pen or crate, not as a reason to skip it. The lavender is a mild scent in the foam, not an oil your pet can lick. Air the bed for a day before first use if your pet has airway disease, and stop using it if they avoid the bed or seem irritated by it.

Why I designed it
Watch how your dog sleeps. Half of them stretch out flat. This is the bed for the other half.
Some dogs sleep flat on their side and need floor space. The others curl into a ball and push their back or their chin against something, and for years the only beds that gave them a wall on every side were soft, loose-filled things that flattened in a month.
- A wall on every sideThis one has a corduroy bolster frame all the way round and a memory foam cushion inside it that lifts out, which sounds like a small thing until you are shaking the sand out of it or changing the cover.
- Warm to lie onThe corduroy is there for a reason too: the ribs trap air, so it is warm to lie on, which is what a whippet, a greyhound or an old dog that feels the cold actually wants.

Which size does my dog need?
Small for cats and dogs up to 12 kg, Medium for 12 to 30 kg, Large for 30 to 55 kg or for two smaller pets that share. Measure your dog lying down the way they sleep, nose to the base of the tail, and choose a cushion at least 15 cm longer than that for a curler. The frame takes room from every side. Between sizes, go up; customers with two small dogs and a cat, or two Labradors, are on the Large.
Is corduroy warm? Is it too warm for summer?
The ribs trap air, so corduroy is warmer to lie on than a flat weave and the pick for a thin-coated dog, a senior that feels the cold, or a cold floor in winter. In a hot room a dog will lie on the tiles instead, which is normal and not a complaint. If your dog runs hot all year, the SNÜZ Orthopedic Suede Bed is the cooler surface in the family.
Can an old dog step in easily?
There is a wall on every side, so there is no low front to walk in over. A dog that must not step over anything at all, straight after surgery or with very weak hind legs, is better on the SNÖR, which has a low front lip.
Is the lavender safe for dogs and cats?
The scent is set into the foam, not applied as an oil that a pet can lick or roll in, and for most dogs it is a mild calm cue at best. Cats are more sensitive to essential oils than dogs, so if the Small is for a cat, or your pet has airway disease, air the bed for a day before first use and skip it if they avoid it. It is not a sedative and it does not treat anxiety.
How do I wash it?
Lift the cushion out of the frame, unzip the cover from the base and machine wash it cold on a gentle cycle, then air dry; heat and tumble drying flatten the ribs. Never put the foam in the machine. Between washes, a damp rubber glove run along the ribs lifts the hair out, and a damp cloth takes a mark off the corduroy. Every fortnight in normal use, sooner after an accident.
What if the size is wrong, or it arrives damaged?
Damaged on arrival or faulty: email hello@woopf.com with a photo and your order number as soon as you notice, and it is covered. Wrong size and it is unused in its packaging: email within 14 days and we will look at a swap. A bed a dog has slept on cannot come back for hygiene reasons, so measure your dog lying down before you order, and keep the box until you are sure.
