Read the script
- 0:05 Good day. I'm Dr Duncan Houston, and this is my fake living room.
- 0:12 Furry corduroy range in round. So, we got small, medium, and large.
- 0:16 The large is actually pretty big. It's the same size as the large in the shag calming range. I would say that this fits dogs up to about 30 to 35 kilos for the big one.
- 0:29 Because it's round, they curl up inside of it rather than lie out flat. You're pushing 17, maybe 20 kilos with this one.
- 0:36 And this one, I would say, would be comfortable up to 30, but I have had a 35-kilo Golden Retriever in this one and, you know, curled up and seemed okay.
- 0:44 This is the furry corduroy range. It's got a really nice, smooth, velvety feel of fabric. It's kind of similar fabric to the furry curves range, which is the bumpy one, but just a different design, obviously.
- 0:56 Yeah, all of these have a nice leather logo with "WOOPF™".
- 1:00 On the bottom, you have the sticky dots. So, these will stick to flat surfaces like wood or tiles, things like that.
- 1:07 It doesn't stick straight away. You give it time while the dog keeps sleeping there, and it'll stick over a couple of days or a week. The longer it's there, the stickier it gets, and when you pull it off, you go.
- 1:18 So, these will have a zipper on the outside and on the inside. This one goes around the outside, which will remove the inner bed, or the inner cushion, I should say.
- 1:29 This is only hand washable. You do not wash this in the washing machine. It is flame-retardant fluffy material with just this kind of synthetic mesh fabric on top which holds it in. But hand wash only; do not machine wash this. Whereas this can be machine washed.
- 1:46 So that zipper was on the outside. Then we just roll the wall or the bolster, and there'll be a zipper on the inside around the edge. Where's the metal zip? All of these will come with high-quality metal zips.
- 1:59 This is the wall. Same material as the cushion on the inside, which is that filter floss material.
- 2:04 And here is your cover. The cover can be machine washed, cold with a slow spin cycle only. But at least you know you can wash these covers. And it's not that hard to take these apart.
- 2:16 Like this one, it's not memory foam; it is just standard fluffy material.
- 2:32 There you go. That's the furry corduroy round bed. Colours are brown, grey, a pale pink beige, and white.
- 2:41 So, yeah, four colour options and three sizes will fit most animals. All good. All right.

How it works
Why the bolster is corduroy, why the base grips, and which dog needs foam instead

A bolster all the way round, in a corduroy that lasts
The ring is one continuous bolster, so a curled dog has a chin rest and a back rest at every angle and a small dog can disappear below it.
- Corduroy outside, not furThe outside of the ring is a wide-wale corduroy rather than fur, and that is a practical choice, not a style one.
- Takes claws, brushes cleanA rib takes a dog's claws when it paws the bed into shape, brushes clean with a hand, and does not mat, felt or hold hair the way a long pile does.
- Fur where the dog liesThe fur is where the dog lies, on the cushion and the inside of the ring, where softness matters and wear is lowest.
- Same shape as the shag ringThe bed is the same donut shape as the shag ring in the Medium and Large, with a harder-wearing skin and a Small added below it.

A rubber-dot base, so the bed stays where the dog puts it
Watch a dog go to bed: three circles, a dig at the cushion, a drop.
- A plain base skatesOn tiles or floorboards a plain-based donut skates a hand's width every time, ends up against the wall, and the dog ends up half out of it.
- Rubber dots, like a bath matThe base of this one is a rubber-dot fabric, the grip you find on the back of a good bath mat.
- Stays put, steady underfootThe bed stays in the corner you put it in, the cushion stays centred, and an old dog stepping into it is stepping onto something that does not shift underfoot.
- Right for a crate trayThe rubber-dot base also makes the bed the right one for a crate tray, where a sliding bed is a bed the dog stops using.

What it is not: memory foam, or a treatment
No foam is listed anywhere in this bed.
- Soft fill, not orthopedicThe cushion is soft fill, which is comfortable for a healthy dog or cat and does nothing for a sore joint.
- Which dog needs foam insteadA dog past ten, a dog that gets up stiff or a dog after surgery belongs on the NÄP Vet Orthopedic Bed (the memory foam donut), the SNÜZ Vet Orthopedic Bed or the SNÖR.
- Nervous dogs often settle fasterThe enclosure, the bolster and the warmth of a fur cushion are real, and a nervous dog often settles faster inside a ring.
- A shape, not a medicineThat is a shape doing its job, not a medicine, and a dog that paces, trembles, drools or cannot be left needs a vet and a plan.

Three sizing rules
-
Measure your pet curled up the way they actually sleep, nose round to tail. The well inside the bolster is a good deal smaller than the outer size: under about 35 cm fits the Small, under about 45 cm the Medium, under about 65 cm the Large, and between sizes go up.
-
Weight bands, curled up, as a guide: Small for cats and dogs to about 8 kg, Medium for 8 to 15 kg, Large for 15 to 30 kg. Two small dogs that sleep together take the Large. These are a guide from the sizes, not a published limit.
-
A dog that sleeps stretched out, on its side with its legs straight, does not want a ring at all: a bigger donut just wastes the bolster. Look at the Furry Corduroy Sleeping Mat, the same corduroy and rubber-dot base laid flat, or the SNÜZ sofa. A dog over 30 kg, or any dog with sore joints, wants foam under it: the NÄP, the SNÖR or the SNÜZ.

Specifications
- Shape
- Round donut: one continuous bolster ring around a fur cushion; the dog lies in the well with its chin on the ring
- Where it goes
- A corner of the living room, the bedroom floor, a crate tray (the rubber dots are for exactly that), the car for a trip
- Sizes
- Small 58.8 x 58.5 x 17 cm, Medium 76.5 x 76.5 x 18.5 cm, Large 100.5 x 100.5 x 22.5 cm outside
- Designed by
- Dr Duncan Houston, emergency veterinarian, WOOPF™
- Bolster
- Wide-wale corduroy outside, soft fill; height 17, 18.5 and 22.5 cm by size. The same fluffy fibre fill (filter floss) as the inner cushion
- Base
- Rubber-dot non-slip fabric: the only fur donut in the range listed with a grip base. The NÄP Vet Orthopedic Bed has a non-slip base too
- Under the dog
- A fur-topped cushion with a soft fill. No foam is listed, so no orthopedic claim is made here
- Warmth
- Self-warming in the plain sense: the fur cushion and the bolster keep the pet's own heat in. No heating element
- Cover
- Zip-off, machine washable. The inner cushion comes out through the outer zip, and a second zip inside the ring takes the bolster's cover off; metal zips
- Colours
- Pale pink (a dusty pink, nearly cream), White, Grey (a light grey) and Brown (a light tan, not a chocolate). Pale pink and White show dirt first; Grey hides the most
- Care
- Cover off, machine wash cold on a slow spin cycle only, no softener, air dry out of the sun, brush the fur back up. No tumble dryer. The inner cushion is hand wash only, never in the machine. A brush or a damp hand lifts hair off the corduroy between washes
- The other round beds
- The Furry Curves Round Bed is the same three sizes in a plain fur skin without the rubber-dot base; the Fluffy Shag Calming Round Bed is the long-pile ring in the Medium and Large; the Furry Range Round Bed is the small deep-walled one; the NÄP Vet Orthopedic Bed is the memory foam donut
How to
How to size it, place it and keep it clean

Measure the curl, not the dog
Curled up, nose to tail: under 35 cm the Small, under 45 cm the Medium, under 65 cm the Large. A dog that sleeps flat out on its side wants the flat mat, not a bigger ring.

Put it where the dog already sleeps
Beside the couch, by your side of the bed, in the crate. The rubber dots mean it will still be there in the morning; a bed that slides is a bed the dog stops using.

Let them make the nest
Circling and pawing at the cushion is normal and the corduroy is made for it. Straighten the cushion on wash day, not every morning.

Wash the cover fortnightly
Weekly for a dog with itchy skin, the same day after an accident or a muddy walk. Cover off, cold wash, gentle cycle, air dry, brush the fur back up. Brush the corduroy between washes.

Watch how they get up
If the dog is stiff after a sleep, slow to rise or reluctant to step over the bolster, the bed is not the problem and a soft fill will not fix it: see your vet, and move to memory foam (the NÄP or the SNÜZ).
Vet noteDr Duncan Houston, BVSc
A donut is comfort, not treatment. There is no foam listed in this bed, so it does nothing for sore joints; a dog that is stiff after rest, slow to rise, reluctant to jump or use stairs, licking at one joint or limping for more than a day or two needs a veterinary examination and, usually, memory foam under it. Anxiety: a bolstered ring makes a nervous dog feel safer and that is real; a dog that paces, trembles, drools, will not eat when you are out or cannot be left at all has a fear that a bed cannot treat, and the sooner you talk to a vet about it the better it goes. Heat: a fur cushion inside a bolster is warm, which is the point in winter and a risk for a flat-faced dog, an overweight dog or an old dog on a hot night; if they are panting in it, take the cushion out and let them lie on the base. Chewers: a puppy or a young dog that opens a seam and eats the fill can block a gut, so check the ring and the zip weekly and retire the bed the day a seam goes. Accidents: fur holds urine against the skin, so wash the same day; urine dermatitis takes a day or two to start. The base: rubber dots grip a hard floor, not a rug, so on a rug the bed still moves.

Why I designed it
A donut that stays where the dog puts it, in the size the dog actually is.
Most donut beds are sold in one or two sizes and slide across the floorboards the moment a dog circles in them. This is the one I built to fix both.
- Three sizesThree sizes, because a Chihuahua and a Border Collie both sleep curled and neither fits the other's bed: a 59 cm Small, a 77 cm Medium and a 100 cm Large, the last two the same footprint as the shag ring.
- A bolster all the way roundA bolster all the way round, so the chin has somewhere to go whichever way the dog turns.
- Corduroy on the outsideCorduroy on the outside, because a wide-wale rib takes claws, brushes clean and does not mat the way a long pile does, with the fur where the dog lies.
- A rubber-dot baseAnd a rubber-dot base, which is the detail I care about most: on tiles or timber the bed stays put while the dog does its three circles and a paw at the cushion, and so does the dog.
- The honest linesThere is no foam listed in this bed; the cushion is soft fill, so it is a comfortable nest and not an orthopedic bed, and an old dog with sore hips wants the NÄP or the SNÜZ, which have memory foam. Calming is the enclosure and the warmth, not a treatment: a dog that paces or trembles needs a vet.
- Buy the size for the dog curled upBuy the size for the dog curled up, not the dog you picture. Bridie and Kiko tested every version.

My dogs LOVE this bed, it's so cozy for both of them. One weighs 45lb and the other weighs 20lbs and it's the perfect size for both of them! They'll even share it at times. Whenever they lay in it, I can tell they're just so comfortable and supported. My smaller dog likes to rest his head along the side which is thick enough to support his head. It's also super easy to clean and I like that it comes apart for an easy wash.
May 2026 This bed looks incredibly cozy and well-made! The soft, plush material provides excellent comfort, and it’s perfectly supports my dog’s body. I love how the raised edges create a secure, nest-like feeling. My dog looks completely relaxed and happy lounging in it. My dog absolutely loves it, which says everything. Highly recommend this bed to anyone!

Which size do I buy?
Measure your pet curled up, nose round to tail, the way they actually sleep: under about 35 cm is the Small, under about 45 cm the Medium, under about 65 cm the Large, and between sizes go up. As a guide that is cats and dogs to about 8 kg in the Small, 8 to 15 kg in the Medium and 15 to 30 kg in the Large. Two small dogs that sleep together want the Large. A dog that sleeps stretched out wants the Furry Corduroy Sleeping Mat, not a bigger ring.
Is it orthopedic?
No. There is no foam listed anywhere in this bed; the cushion is a soft fill under fur, which is comfortable for a healthy dog or cat and does nothing for a sore joint. An old dog, a dog that gets up stiff or a dog after surgery belongs on the NÄP Vet Orthopedic Bed, which is the same donut idea over lavender memory foam, or the SNÜZ Vet Orthopedic Bed or the SNÖR Vet Orthopedic Bed.
Does it slide on floorboards and tiles?
This is the round bed built not to. The base is a rubber-dot fabric, the grip on the back of a good bath mat, and the bed stays where you put it while the dog circles, digs and drops. It is the only fur donut in the range listed with a non-slip base (the NÄP Vet Orthopedic Bed, the memory foam nest, has one too), which is why it is the one to buy for a hard floor or a crate tray. On a rug the dots have nothing to grip and the bed will still shift a little.
Will it help my anxious dog?
In one real way: a nervous dog settles faster inside a bolstered ring, with something at its back and a wall between it and the room, and this is a proper one. It is not a treatment. A dog that paces, trembles, drools, will not eat when you are out or cannot be left at all has a fear that a bed cannot fix; that is training, sometimes medication, and a conversation with your vet, and the sooner the better.
Corduroy or the fur, and which colour?
The Furry Curves Round Bed is the same three sizes with fur on the outside as well as in; this one has a wide-wale corduroy outside. Corduroy takes claws, brushes clean and does not mat, so in a house with a digger, a muddy dog or a cat that scratches, buy this one; in a carpeted room with a gentle dog, either. Colours: Pale pink is a dusty pink close to cream, White is white, Grey is a light grey and Brown is a light tan rather than a chocolate. Pale pink and White show dirt first; Grey hides the most; the tan suits a golden or a red dog's hair.
How do I wash it?
The cover zips off and goes in the machine cold on a slow spin cycle only, no softener; air dry out of the sun and brush the fur back up. No tumble dryer and no iron. The outer zip lets the inner cushion out: that cushion is hand wash only, never the machine. A second zip inside, around the bolster's edge, takes the bolster's cover off, and it machine-washes cold on a slow spin. Between washes, a brush or a damp hand lifts hair off the corduroy.
Can two dogs share it, or a dog and a cat?
Two small dogs that already sleep together share the Large happily, and one customer's 20 kg and 9 kg dogs do. A dog and a cat is the cat's decision, not yours. If they are not already sleeping together, buy two beds: a dog woken by a cat climbing over the bolster is not a dog getting good sleep.
What if the size is wrong, or it arrives damaged?
Damaged on arrival or faulty: email hello@woopf.com with a photo and your order number as soon as you notice, and it is covered. Wrong size and it is unused in its packaging: email within 14 days and we will look at a swap. A bed a dog has slept on cannot come back for hygiene reasons, so measure your dog lying down before you order, and keep the box until you are sure.
